Grindings #013: Daily Double Auditions

Life of an Actor

Another great week in Hollywood; I attended the Childish Gambino concert at the Shrine Auditorium. The Kings won their first round series after being down 3-0. I drank some beers in the presence of Nick Swardson as we both watched our Minnesota Wild lose on Friday …

Oh and also on Friday, I had multiple auditions on the same day, a first. A taste of what it is like to be a full fledged actor. Start in one part of town and end up in the other. The first audition called for a 70s weatherman and the second was a schlubby creep. Guess which one I felt I killed? Yes, sadly the second one. Hopefully this trend continues though, the more auditions one has, the more potential bookings – and practice – they also get. Acting is a numbers game in the truest sense.

In addition to all of that, I had a class improv show at Westside Comedy (seen above, though I am un-pictured to the left) which went really well and was hella fun.
